Tamkeen increases support for companies in Bahrain

MANAMA: Despite a decline in income, Tamkeen significantly increased its backing for Bahraini enterprises by 87 per cent with total support amount last year reaching BD46 million. Of this total, human capital development projects' expenses totalled more than BD16.5m or 36pc of total project expenses, while over BD29.5m were spent on private sector support projects equaling 64pc of total project expenses last year. Work permit guidelines for expats facing travel ban

MANAMA: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) will soon develop a clearly defined mechanism for granting work permits to foreign workers facing travel ban. It is generally a pleasure to receive a reduction or waiver in taxes and fees.
